The Zehnder Terraline trench heater offers an elegant alternative to radiators wherever free-standing radiators should be avoided for reasons of aesthetics or underfloor heating is not possible. All that is visible is the frame, complete with integrated decorative grille. The trench heater is ideal for use where there are large areas of full height glazing.
With its hydronic operation it can be plumbed in almost like a radiator with a thermal actuator within its case.

Where natural convection is not sufficient, Zehnder Terraline Neo operates with fan-assisted convection. This not only ensures a high thermal output and keeps windows free of condensation, it makes the room heating much more versatile, allowing it to be switched on as required for short heating phases. Terraline Neo operates with a speed controller for the fan, linked back to a room stat.
Trench heaters can also be used for cooling, e.g. in combination with a reversible heat pump. For cooling purposes, a condensate pump needs to be used.
Terraline Trench Heaters are ideally suited for the combination with MVHR systems. The supply air from the MVHR system will come out through the trench heater. A non-fan assisted version should be used and the MVHR supply ductwork (either semi-rigid 90mm round or Flat 51) needs to be connected to the trench heater.
