Check List

Check List: Ready for the first fix of the MVHR System

This check list should help the client/ site manager to determine whether the building is ready for the first fix and that the installation can run as smoothly as possible. Please do check, tick and return to us if we install the system. If you cannot answer some of the questions, please contact us.

    Timing:

    The first fix typically takes about 2-5 days. Please note that we need about 3-4 weeks lead time.
    It is important that the MVHR first fix is carried out before the first fix of other trades (plumber, electrician).

    Please note that if we cannot carry out any planned work due to:

    • late cancellations from the customer (within 5 working days),

    • late change requests for the design or material specification (within 5 working days),

    • because the site is not ready for the installation work or

    • because the health & safety and Coronavirus safety preparations on the site are not met. we might need to ask for a surcharge as below.

    Following charges apply for cancellations or changes:

    • within 3-5 working days of the agreed install date: £150.00 (excl. VAT)

    • within 1-2 working days of the agreed install date: £250.00 (excl. VAT)

    • on the day of the agreed install date: £450.00 (excl. VAT)

    We try to be as pro-active in our communications with you as possible, in order to avoid any surcharges. Please do support us by communicating any changes or requests as early as possible.

    External Penetration:

    The installation team will discuss the positions for the intake and exhaust penetrations though the external wall (or roof cowls) and mark them up if need be; however, these need to be formed by the client.

    Condensate drain:

    All MVHR units (apart from some ERV versions) have a condensate connection.
    We provide the waterless trap (32mm), but the client needs to connect it to the waste water system.
