With the trend in housing to upgrade or extend existing buildings, home owners and building companies are challenged to re-visit their ventilation strategy, in order to prevent poor indoor air quality and high levels of moisture, which can lead to mold infestation and increased house dust mite proliferation. All of these can lead to short-term or even chronic health issues for the occupants.
Homne owners often want to retrofit MVHR systems, as these passively de-humidify and can provide excellent indoor air quality. However, often whole house MVHR is quite difficult to retrofit. An easier solution are de-central systems and cascade MVHRs.
We are excited about the new de-central MVHR by Zehnder: ComfoSpot 50 and it’s bigger brother MVHR, the ComfoAir 70, which can be connected with ducts for one additional supply or extract room.
