Zehnder ComfoAir Q is a very popular range of heat recovery ventilation units for those who want to use a high performing MVHR. It offers:
Fan noise is one of the biggest issues of ventilation systems, that can make or break the acceptance by the end-user.
Zehnder ComfoAir Q delivers ultra quiet noise levels to the home by managing airflow and lowering resistance – the innovative and patented airflow channels and grids allow air to move easily through the unit without noise. One of the comments at handover, that we often hear is “Is it working? I cannot hear it.”
8x ComfoAir Q units side by side would compare to the break out noise of ONE standard MVHR, like the ComfoAir 155 – at the same output level. That makes all the difference.
MVHR systems are as much about your health & wellbeing than they are about sustainability and energy savings.
We have seen how much a difference good filtered air and reduced humidity levels can make to occupants with certain health challenges, such as asthma, COPD, allergies, hay fever. It’s the long-term conditions in which we live that affect us most. Healthy fresh air, like healthy food and drink is important to maintain your health.
Such benefits only derive from MVHR system with F7 pollen filter (ISO ePM1 65%). Standard G3 (ISO ePM coarse) will not make much of a difference.
If you are affected by traffic fumes or fumes from neighbour’s wood stove, the active charcoal filter option for the ComfoAir Q will make a difference.
The ComfoAir Q range has a variety of control options:
Then LAN controller is our recommended control device: It enables the connection between the MVHR and the ComfoControl app for iphone and android devices.
Key Benefits:
Zehnder’s ComfoAir Q is one of the most versatile MVHR systems, which can be used from smaller 3-bedroom dwellings to larger mansions. We, and our customers like the system because it is well controlled with in-built humidity control and app control, it is very efficient and most importantly: it is extremely quiet, compared to other systems. The in-build defrost pre-heater, optional ERV core, and F7 pollen filters and optional active charcoal filters give it the competitive advantage.
Installers love the system, too, because of the commissioning wizard and easy access to all parts inside the unit.
The only wee downside is that the LAN controller for app control is not in-built, but a seperate item. Zehnder learnt from this with their new ComfoAir Flex unit, where they have integrated the LAN and Options Box into their system. The weakest points of the first units were their pressure sensors, but this issue has now been resolved.
Overall, we fine this is one of the best systems on the market.
